  • Originals Submissions: descriptions, files, media, metadata, and any intangible assets registered as Originals (e.g., persona, likeness, creative works, inventions, datasets, domains, trademarks, or other intangibles).
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and usage logs.
  • Payment & Transaction Data: processed through trusted third-party payment providers.
2. How We Use Information

We collect and use information to:

  • Register, host, and manage Originals.
  • Publish Originals for inspection by community members (unless filed as unpublished trade secrets).
  • Facilitate provenance, ownership, and contractual enforceability of Originals.
  • Process payments, renewals, and updates.
  • Provide customer support, improve or market services, and maintain security.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce the Originals Community Agreement.
3. Disclosure of Information

We may share or disclose information as follows:

  • Community Members: Published Originals are viewable by members who agree to the Originals Community Agreement.
  • Courts & Arbitrators: Originals may be accessed by adjudicators or arbitrators for enforcement purposes.
  • Service Providers: We share limited information with hosting, payment, legal, and security providers under contractual safeguards.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or court order.
  • No Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell personal information to third parties.
4. Data Retention
  • Originals and associated metadata are retained as long as they remain active or are necessary to establish provenance.
  • Inactive or abandoned Originals may be archived but marked accordingly.
  • Some records may be preserved indefinitely for contractual enforceability, unless deletion is required by law.
5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or update your personal information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to obligations under the Originals Community Agreement).
  • Limit publication of certain submissions (e.g., unpublished trade secrets).
  • Withdraw consent to processing, where applicable.

Originals are contractual protections and not substitutes for government-issued intellectual property rights. We do not guarantee enforceability in every jurisdiction. Users are encouraged to seek independent legal advice before registering an Original.
